Of course Ant. Honestly, with the Panhandle it was just a couple of roadsigns with the Florida style Panhandle on. Even if they are only temp images, its still a small bit of in-game evidence. We have no other speculative data for anything that far up the map other than event data. The fact that we already speculate the Grass Rivers location with very little information, and 90% of the land borders are still speculative at this point, it seemed reasonable to add the Panhandle as a speculative border until evidence proves otherwise.
Thanks for this, it is really impressive what you guys are doing, the minute detail going into all this research amazes me and appreciate you taking the time to explain this.
I have only been to Florida once and never even realised the road signs were designed in such a way. Of course Rockstar would potentially include unique details like this.
I do wonder if people at Rockstar are watching your map / discord and working out ways to avoid the map design being obvious. I still remember the days of the GTA 4 Map being seen on the police boat in a trailer!
This one is quite a substantial update in terms of reworking known areas, adding new tags for the latest irl building finds and triangulation mapping data.
v0.046
Updated Crosstown, Rockridge, Stockyard, Brickell, Brickell Key, Downtown, Port, Venetian Islands, West Perrine, Key Biscayne, Bayside & Virginia Key regions, based on new data. Added Elevation data from leaks. Layers tiles are rounded to the nearest increments: 10m, 15m, 20m+ Updated Vice Dale County Jail position based on new triangulation data. I know it's been a long wait and a dry year for GTA fans. I planned to provide a small map update this month regardless of whether there was a trailer 2. Sadly there was not, as many of us hoped there would be. Hopefully, R* give us something soon!
This update is more or less focused on Vice Beach and the East Coastline.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all!
v0.047

Updated the entire South Beach area, based on continued analysis.
Updated the speculative North East Coast based on new triangulation data.
Added 'Highly Speculative' Borders outlines to the map on areas with not so much, to no data. Refer to the Key for more information.
Updated the speculative position & scale of Waning Sands to match new changes to the East coastline.
Updated named buildings in Homestead & the PGH Motel area.
Added Cruise Terminal D to Port VC based on new evidence.
Tweaked the road that connects the Venetian islands to Bayshore based on revised data.
Fixed paths in PGH that were incorrect road types.
Appreciate all the hard work put into this by everyone involved!
Here's hoping we'll have something more to help add to the project soon enough!
Happy Christmas!
Once again, I apologise for the long wait between updates. I'll be honest with you all, this isn't as up-to-date as it could be, as I have a huge backlog of requests to look at. I will try better to update it more frequently, but as with all fun things, life gets in the way. If you want more up-to-date analysis for Vice City especially, I recommend looking at RickRick's current map, whilst I play catch-up with the community map.

Fixed an issue where I misaligned a PGH Urban detail layer.
Fixed an issue where restructuring Vice Beach & left a trailer marker misaligned.
Reduced the size/footprint of the speculative PGH Airfield due to lack of evidence (other than the IRL reference), as it dwarfed Vice City International Airport in comparison.
Updated contributing users to the credits.
Thanks for all your hard work! Love seeing the changes! Can't wait to see the updates when we get any new updates! Fingers crossed we get another trailer or at least some screenshots soon!
Quick Question, on the map site you have, would you ever consider a "Historic View" of your own published maps so that people could see the progress and evolution from early designs to the latest one?
I have no control over the map site if you're talking about this (https://vimap.saamexe.com/ ) one, it's not mine. He collects all the maps in the community and layers them together. Maybe that's something Psy could do on this website, if he wanted to.
Ah right! Thanks for letting me know, I just always assumed this was all linked to you somehow! Interesting to know!
It would be a good thing to have a historical comparison to see the progress somewhere but I'm sure it's all on the discord!
Keep up the brilliant work!
Wow that'a a massive new potential chunk of land. Very impressed by all the hard work so far.
Out of curiosity, what was the speculative info that made you confident to add this extra space, genuinely interesting to know the work going on behind additions like this.
Keep up the good work!
